- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆If there was only a category for a terrible review.... Don't be fooled by the sugary and obsequious teller introductions. At my final transaction with this institution, my teller froze up and then became very rude with me when challenged with a matter that is very simple (foreign currency, in this case). I had to ask probing questions to determine that she had no idea why her employer's policies were in place, only being repeatedly told that they were in place. This particular teller treated me as if I should have known in advance that Wright Patt would not even *deposit* a check from the Canadian Government, and that I was an impediment to her good day for so inquiring. I have worked in customer service for more than 4 decades, and therefore I know when I am being treated by somebody who lacks proper training by an employer and who is friendly and nice only when the transaction is an easy one. If this were the first instance, I would blow it off as an isolated incident but this was the third consecutive visit where I came away feeling that I was talked-down to. At my earliest convenience I closed my account and moved all of my money over to a REAL bank that understands what good customer service means.By Jeff Knorek, August 14, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Let me rant, Have to say thumbs down with 5th Third Bank, the wife has checking account, savings account, two credit cards which are paid off monthly (we pay our bills with them). So we applied for a car loan at 3.86 interest and was supposed to get a call back the bank waited until 5pm to call, needed more info, it was provided and was told would call back next morning by 1030, we showed up at 1045 in person talked w/Amy and was told no answer yet but go car shopping, we had vehicle in parking lot already and that should give 5th third time for a answer. Went back to Matt castrucci got the loan with Huntington @ 2.99 interest, no penalty for early pay off, no checking, no savings and no credit cards with them but we have a car loan with them now and 5th third still waiting for underwriters to give approval, gotta say y'all suck still no phone call. Wife will be moving her money from 5th Third Bank which is almost a years payments on our new truck. Thank you for nothing. Hello Hunting Bank.By Mark Johnston, August 12, 2017
